Ready for the BVI

Modern taxi technology,
ready to launch.

Platform ready for implementation

taxi.vg is a complete web-based booking, dispatch and trip-management platform built for licensed taxi associations. The software is ready to implement in the British Virgin Islands, and we are now inviting BVI taxi associations to participate in the network.

Live demonstration

The system is already running.

We have built a complete demonstration environment using fictional association data on real BVI geography. Sign in and look through it: the live dispatch queue, the ranked driver list with the reason each driver was chosen, trip history, driver records and reporting.

There are two sides to look at. The passenger site is open to anyone: request a taxi and see exactly what a visitor to the BVI would see. The dispatch console needs the sign-in below and is read only, so nothing you click can change the data or reach a driver. In a meeting we run a booking through the system end to end, from request to completed trip.

Already running

This platform is up and running with the taxi network in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The BVI deployment is the same software on its own database, configured for your island and your tariff.

This is working software, not a prototype or presentation. The data is fictional, the sign-in is read only, and nothing you do reaches a real driver.

What the platform does

Everything an association needs to take a booking.

Online booking

Visitors request transportation directly from their phone. No download, no account, no app store.

Association dispatch

Incoming bookings arrive in one dispatcher console where the association controls assignment.

Driver management

Manage participating drivers, vehicles, availability and trip assignments.

Live trip monitoring

See each trip move from requested to accepted, dispatched, active and completed.

Partner booking

Hotels, villas, marinas, cruise partners and tourism businesses can send rides into the same network.

Payments and records

Maintain booking, fare, payment and trip records in one system.

How it works

Booking → Dispatch → Driver → Monitor → Payment → Record

One taxi booking, from the moment a guest asks for a ride to the moment it becomes part of your association's permanent record.

  1. Book Guest requests a taxi from their phone, no app
  2. Dispatch The request appears in the association's console
  3. Assign The association selects an available driver
  4. Drive The driver receives and completes the trip
  5. Monitor Trip status is visible throughout the journey
  6. Pay Fare and payment information are recorded
  7. Record The trip stays in the association's history

One trip. One connected system.

Passengers, dispatchers and drivers all interact with the same booking, from the initial request through completion and payment.

Ready to launch

The technology is ready. Now we are looking for BVI association partners.

taxi.vg has been designed as shared transportation infrastructure for the British Virgin Islands. The booking system, dispatcher console, driver workflow and trip records are already built and ready to be configured for participating taxi associations.

We are now speaking with licensed BVI taxi associations interested in helping launch the network and shaping how it operates locally.

Implementation

Your association does not need to build anything.

1

Meet

We learn how your association currently handles dispatch.

2

Configure

We configure taxi.vg around your drivers and operating rules.

3

Test

Your dispatchers and drivers use the system in a controlled rollout.

4

Launch

Your association begins accepting digital bookings through the network.

No app to download, on purpose

A visitor standing outside the airport with luggage is not going to search an app store, download, install and register before they can ask for a taxi. By the time that finishes they could already have been in the car.

taxi.vg opens in the browser the visitor already has, so a ride is requested in seconds. It is web-based throughout and no dedicated app installation is required for normal operation, for passengers, dispatchers or drivers.

Built for the BVI

A world-class destination deserves a modern transportation network.

More than one million visitors arrive in the British Virgin Islands each year, joining the residents who rely on local transportation every day.

Whether someone is heading to the airport, getting home from work, meeting a ferry, going to dinner, visiting a beach or simply getting across the island, requesting a taxi should be simple.

taxi.vg gives the BVI's existing licensed taxi associations modern technology to serve both visitors and residents, while keeping local associations, dispatchers and drivers at the centre of the system.
